Hello flower friends!! 🌸

Here’s a little weekly update from the farm!

Wheat harvest is in full swing at the Bean farm, so my dad and Chad have been running like crazy! 🌾 We also made it through the first full week back to school… although my youngest is already sick with a fever and stuffy nose. I swear this happens every year 🫠 I was a little under the weather this week too, but I’m feeling much better and back at it!

I’m wrapping up the week with a couple of DIY bouquet bar options! 💐

The Basket of Blooms is perfect for a girls’ night in, birthday party or smaller get-together. You can choose between mini wrapped bouquets or bud vases.

The Bouquet Bar Cart offers a fuller experience for a bigger birthday bash, bridal shower, baby shower or similar event. Guests get to build their own take-and-go wrapped bouquet!

Both options are designed as easy drop-off activities. I provide the flowers, tools and materials, and you can either pick everything up or have me drop it off for you. After your event, simply return the supplies to me. It’s a fun, hands-on way for guests to create their own beautiful bouquets!

If you’d like more information on either option, just reach out! Farm-fresh flower season is getting closer to wrapping up, but I’m already taking inquiries for next season. 💕

I’m crossing my fingers for a couple of drops at HANSENs next week! Sunflowers are in their prime 🌻 and I’m hoping to catch plenty more zinnias before the weather gets too cold. Some flowers may even perk back up and bloom more once things cool down and they aren’t quite so heat-stressed, so I’ll keep bringing flowers for as long as the weather allows!

And behind the scenes, I’m already getting ready for dried flower season… fall wreaths and cozy dried bouquets are coming! 🍂🤎

Dropped a fresh batch of flowers off at Hansens Unlimited Crafters Mall! 💕🌻

Lots of late-summer goodness in these today… sunflowers, lisianthus, snapdragons, strawflowers, rudbeckia, dusty miller and more.

I’m loving how the colors are starting to shift this time of year. A little bright summer mixed with those warmer, moodier end of season colors. 💜💛🩷

Finished arrangements and wrapped bouquets are stocked in the cooler now!

I wasn’t sure I was going to get it all done today, but I did!! 🙌💐

All of my subscription bouquets are finished AND I even had time to make up some extras for HANSENs ! You’ll find both wrapped bouquets and finished arrangements in the cooler. 💕

And you guys… fresh flowers are such a fun little back-to-school treat. My girls LOVE having a fresh bouquet in their bedrooms for the start of the school year. 🥹🌸 It just makes everything feel a little extra special.

Weekly flower farm update 🌸

This week is looking a little different around here! I’m working on flowers for an event later this week, so I’ll be pretty busy behind the scenes and may not get quite as many flower drops over to HANSENs as usual.

Today I’m designing the last bouquets of our summer bouquet subscriptions 😭🌸 Those will head out tomorrow morning, and I’m extra excited because a very special flower friend shared some of her peacock orchid blooms with me! They’ll be making a special appearance in this week’s subscription bouquets, and let me tell you, these smelllll AMAZING!! Thank you so much, April Nygard Wallner 💕💕

After subscriptions are finished, I’m hoping to get some flowers over to Hansens Unlimited Crafters Mall tomorrow or Thursday, depending on how much I can get done!

Around the farm, we’re stillllll waiting on the sweet corn 🌽😂 I’m hoping some of these warm days will help it along! The rain last week also stalled wheat harvest for a bit, but hopefully we’ll be getting started with that soon.

And the kids head back to school Thursday, which always changes up my work schedule a little. Fewer late evenings at the farm and back to working around school schedules again.

Definitely starting to feel that end-of-summer shift around here. 💛 How did summer go by soooo fast?! I’m definitely not ready for it to be over yet. 🌸

Ok guys, finally got flowers dropped off at HANSEN’s!! 🌸

There are a handful of wrapped bouquets plus some finished arrangements ready to grab.

The strawflowers are especially beautiful right now and adding the prettiest texture to everything! The garden is definitely starting to feel like late summer, so I’m trying to soak up every bloom while it lasts.

🌸 Weekly Flower Farm Update

This week on the farm has mostly been about keeping up! Mowing, cutting flowers, pulling weeds…and then doing it all over again. 😂

We had a pretty exciting morning today—the local news came out to the farm! As someone who is much happier quietly hanging out with my flowers than being interviewed, I’m just hoping they can edit out all my awkwardness. 😂 But it was really fun getting to share a little bit of what happens out here!

We’re also getting really close to starting wheat harvest, which means there’s about to be even more action around the farm. My dad and Chad will be busy with harvest, and I’ll be over here trying to keep the flowers going through all the chaos. 🌾🌸

And speaking of Dad…he’s apparently taken on raccoon trapping as his other full-time job. 😂 SEVEN raccoons so far! There’s always something going on around here.

Sweet corn will be ready in a couple weeks, and the pumpkins are growing good!! 🎃🌽

Monthly bouquet subscriptions head out tomorrow morning, and I’ll be restocking the cooler at Hansens Unlimited Crafters Mall as soon as I can get another round of bouquets made up!

And somehow…the kids go back to school NEXT WEEK. 😳 I swear summer just started.

August is always a little crazy around here, but I sure do love it. ❤️
