Ok flower friends!! My first big restock of the season! 🌸

Lots of finished arrangements and wrapped bouquets headed to the cooler today! It fills my soul to finally be working with fresh local flowers again and seeing the cooler stocked for the season. 💐

I know this is a longer post than I normally share, but stick with me... it’s a good one. 🌸

A couple weeks ago a fitting failed and a pipe came unhooked in the high tunnel, flooding part of it. Unfortunately, one of the rows affected was my lisianthus.

I watched those plants for a couple of weeks, hoping they’d pull through, but eventually I had to accept that some of them weren’t going to make it. I was pretty bummed. It was too late in the season to easily replace them, and honestly, it wasn’t in the budget anyway.

Then, completely out of the blue, I got an email from in Tioga. They had some extra lisianthus available for sale and wanted to know if I was interested.

You guys... they were the SAME varieties I order.

I made the trip to Tioga, and I’m so glad I did. The greenhouse was absolutely beautiful, clean and you can tell there is a true love for flowers behind everything they do. Definitely worth the drive !

Long story short, I was able to replace my lost lisianthus crop—and then some.

I’m so thankful they reached out when they did. Sometimes when things go sideways on the farm, they have a funny way of working themselves out. I truly believe God was working behind the scenes on this one.

So thank you to Annie’s Greenhouse for reaching out and helping me out when I needed it. And thank You, God, for putting all of this into motion. ❤️

And one more thing...

There WILL be lisianthus in tomorrow’s arrangements. 🙌🌸

🌸 The first locally grown bouquets of the season have landed at HANSEN’S! 🌸

Ranunculus, anemones, bleeding hearts, and a few other spring favorites are finally blooming!

I’ve got a handful of these cute little arrangements available, along with some wrapped bouquets. Everything was picked yesterday, hydrated, and is ready to head home with you. 💐

There’s just something special about the first flowers of the season. ❤️

Flower friends!!

I’ve been slacking on the weekly updates lately… but honestly it’s because life has been BUSY trying to get everything in the ground! 🌱

We snuck away to the cabin last weekend and it was the best kind of busy… yard work, trimming trees, hanging out, and just soaking up some family time. So thankful for everyone that pitched in and helped ❤️

Celebrated my birthday too!
Got the backyard pool up and running and honestly nothing makes me happier than a house full of kids in the summer making memories.

The corn and pumpkins finally got planted too 🌽🎃 which always makes it feel like summer is really here.

And the flowers are coming on!! SO close now 🌸
The snapdragons are growing like crazy and more things are starting to bloom every day. I am a little worried about this sudden heat and my ranunculus crop… but that’s flower farming sometimes when we go from cold straight to HOT. Just crossing my fingers and doing the best I can!

Slowly but surely we’re getting there 💛

Yesterday was a busy one around the farm 🌱

Started the day getting more plants in the ground in the high tunnel… then the chickens and guineas made the big move out to the farm 🐔💛

I’ll admit… I’m a little nervous 😅 but they already seem SO much happier with more space. We still need to finish the run, so outside time is supervised only for now because apparently I’ve become a full blown helicopter chicken mom 🚁🐓

If you have favorite predator protection tips or chicken safety ideas, send them my way!!

The guy behind so many of the projects around here… hauling flowers, fixing things, putting up with my ideas, helping at the farm, and somehow always getting roped into “just one more thing.” 😂

We appreciate everything you do for our family and this little flower farm life we’re building together. Hope you get at least one day without me adding to your to-do list 😅
