Who we are: We are a small brewery with a taproom. Just three guys who brought the vision of opening a small community brewery to reality. What is Black Horizon?: Black Horizon is not a mythical creature, nor a galactic phenomenon , nor lore, nor some deep rooted over-philosophical

reference. Every business wants to be in the black eventually and that’s on our horizon. Get it? οΏ½
What to expect: There are plenty of seats at our bar and tables to accommodate an intimate feel but open enough to relax and enjoy a beer like an adult. We only serve OUR beer on tap which (of course) is made on site. We also offer a few non-alcoholic options as well. We will fill growlers (64oz containers) and all howlers (32oz containers),provided they are clean, either from our own stock or from other breweries. We do not serve food but we do have a few snack options and a binder of carry-out/delivery menus for places near us, for you to peruse. We are extremely BYOF friendly! Drinking: We offer 8oz & 16oz pours of our beer on tap. Please allow 1-1.5” of head per style of beer. House Rules: We ask that everyone be polite, offer up an open seat when available, be an adult and most importantly have fun. Please no firearms on premise, no outside pets (service animals with documentation allowed), overflow parking is in the back of the Target lot (located on Route 83, there is no street parking), we are credit and debit card only.

Inferno Festival is a celebration of all things super spicy! Our love of hot peppers, sauces and beers is to be celebrated with some of the best local purveyors of heat in Chicagoland! We have teamed up with several acclaimed local hot sauce vendors who will be sampling and selling their AMAZING sauces, preserves, rubs and more!

Murder of Crows will be on site serving up their amazing made to order Chicago Street Food which includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, smoked wings, pizza puffs and more! Plus something extra special and exclusive for the festival 3-8pm


We will still have our normal selection of delicious handcrafted non pepper beers on tap plus our menu of wine, cocktails and cider.

Please note that this event day will be plenty busy and we will be packed so make sure to plan your trip and accordingly. Utilize ride share programs and car pooling. We will be doing our best to ensure we have as much space as possible for not only our vendors but you as well.

A fluffy hazy IPA sent on vacation to the tropics for a healthy dosing of overripe yellow mango and creamy coconut. Aromatics of stewed yellow mango and citrus hops followed by a pillowy body that expresses sweet sticky coconut and cream. Freshly canned, kegged and tapped awaiting you at 3pm today! We are happy to be bringing back a hazy that has been requested since its last drop. Crazy to think this is only our 4th brew of it ever!

Craig's Miata - DDH Hazy India Pale Ale (Simcoe/Citra)
ABV: 6% IBU: 20

A hazy IPA that boasts a great fluffy mouthfeel from flaked oats, malted oats and white wheat malt. While we can't let you get too soft with your haze we bombed out the beer with plenty of fresh Simcoe hops and a splash of Citra to create a deep dank resinous hop profile. Oozing with notes of candied grapefruit, tropical resin, pithy citrus with a pillow-y hop finish. Miata is one to sit back after chasing skunks and cruise on waves of West Coast dank with a modern East Coast fluff.

From beyond the realms of mortal kind, this incredibly heavy, thick, and rich imperial stout breaks its chains and enters our dimension again. Years spent docile exiled to a tomb of Buffalo Trace and Sherry casks it awakened and is ready to speak.....it calls for Doom!
MASSIVE, fudge, thick, brownie, Bourbon/oak, smokey char, liquid chocolate, vanilla notes from the sherry cask.
