Sheep are funny. Because sometimes they fight against everything meant to save them. And then they try to steal the whole thing out of your hand like it's candy.

The main thing they need is good green grass and plenty of it. Deficiencies can happen even on good pasture or feed though, so we have a handful of supplements that we really like to keep on hand for the sheep.

The hay has been harvested. Hard to remember it in this heat 🥵 but this is an important part of our winter prep. And it's a relief and blessing when it's all been brought in safely.

Let us know if you still need to stock up. Our square bales are good, clean Bahia grass hay, $7 a bale.

If you look down and your jeans are wet - it was this guy.

He just shimmied under a fence like a c**n, approached like a clumsy and somehow cuddly polar bear who looked like he needed a hug, and proceeded to use you as a napkin. Then looked you dead in the eye as if to say 'thank you'.

Ryker is loyal, protective and sweet. But the "drool-o-meter" is more accurate than any weather app. August is not a good time to cuddle the polar bear. 🐻‍❄️
