Drive it like you stole it. 🔥
If you know us, you know that pretty well sums up how we feel about showmanship.
These kids brought some serious heat to the ring at their county fair:
🏆 Hadley Hawkins – Champion Junior
🥉 Chase Miller – 3rd Overall Junior
🏆 Avery Hawkins – Champion Intermediate
🥈 Ally Hawkins – Reserve Champion Intermediate
🥈 Alyssa Miller – Reserve Champion Senior
🏅 Casen Hawkins – 5th Overall Senior
And with two first-time showmen in this group, we couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished.
What people see is a few minutes in the show ring. What they don’t always see are the hours at home, families working together, the people standing around the ring offering encouragement, and sometimes the tough conversations when things don’t go exactly the way we hoped.
Showmanship teaches you pretty quickly that wins aren’t given. They’re earned through hard work, focus and drive. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn. Then you go home and get better.
What makes us most proud is that every one of these kids walked into the ring, made it through their heat, came back for the final and walked away with a Top 5 placing.
Some of them even had to compete against each other, and that competition only pushed them harder and made each of them better.
That’s what this is all about. Work hard. Push each other. Support each other. Keep learning. And when it’s your turn to walk into that ring…
