Rubble and mom 6-2-2026

Rubble was born today and boy was he trouble! Had to get the vet out and use calf jack.. that means mom needs to be locked up and tied to something solid... barn and stalls were waaayy to far away... glad our vet has seen it all and it just needs to work! Actually did this around 10 years ago with our cow Cookie and she took off with the panels!!! I tied the panels to a tree and had the tractor to A get panels there but B tie them 90 degrees to each other! Next time I'll do B also lol wife had the cow try and escape. I have a plan it's just always if we need too type deal and actually it worked because it made getting a rope on the mom way easier when she was stuffed in the corner because she turned it from a rectangle into a diamond! Rubble is doing well and mom seems to be okay!! ITS BEEN A DAY!! I saw she was in labor at 10:30am called vet at 1:52pm he arrived at 3:31pm

Our egg layers out in the Chicshaw on pasture with a compost pile full of worms!! Free forage free protein just add the farmer and chickens of course
