Hummingbird Island Cuisine is one street over from Market Street in and it is not to be missed!

This small restaurant serves incredible Jamacian food that I have not stopped thinking about.

To be honest, I was doubtful when a friend ordered the salmon here (don't lie, take out salmon is not normally good), but I was very happy to be wrong. They even told us when we ordered that it takes 15-20 minutes to get ready because they cook the salmon to order.

My main love here is the mac and cheese which was so much more than just macaroni and cheddar cheese. The spices added in really elevated it. And don't worry, I added a few different flavors of patties to my order tonight 😉

Coterie Cafe is one of our favorite spots in Wilmington, so when we saw they were hosting a special Valentine's Day dinner we immediately made reservations.

Chefs Andrew Cini and Gerald Allen did a beautiful job with this 5 course meal while Coterie Cafe set a lovely romantic atmosphere (plus kept the wine flowing). What a special night 🥰

invited me to try out their drinks and snacks and I was so happy I said yes!

I don't normally drink bubble tea because I'm not a huge fan of tapioca balls, but here there are so many "bubbles" to choose from. I tried the pudding and the fruit popping bubbles. The popping ones give you little burst of fruit--so fun!

Pro tip, if you like sweet, you will love the taro. I want to try every combination of it!

I was BEYOND blown away by the meal I had last weekend. This meal really reignited my joy and passion for food ❤️

I haven't had a meal that has hit every 👏 single 👏 dish 👏 to this caliber since maybe 2024? When I say every dish was incredible, I mean it. Whether it was the unique octopus carpaccio or the "simple" wild mushrooms, it left us saying WOW after every bite.

The service was top notch. The pacing was impeccable. We were shocked when we realized they had only been open 3 weeks. I mean...truly remarkable. A round of applause for all!

When in Boston, go to an Irish pub 🍻

is on New York Times 50 Best Restaurants in America list 👏

We had all the English classics but the standouts were definitely the Chicken and Leek Pie and the Spice Bag. Those two are must orders!

👜 Spice Bag--An Irish Chinese Fusion Dish of Chicken, Peppers, Onion and Fries. Tossed in a Spice Mix, Served with Curry Sauce

I think I fell in love with a bao bun 😍

The Order:
🤫 Hush puppies
🍗 Boneless wings
🍕 Flatbread
🥟 Pierogi
🧀 Cheesecake bao bun

We had several cocktails and they do a mocktail where you tell the bartender what notes you are interested in (fruity, bitter, etc.)

As you can tell from the video, it is VERY loud inside, so prepare yourself.

3 meals in Dover, Delaware

This was my first time at each of these places when I went to visit a friend

I will definitely be back to the JP's Wharf ice cream window once it opens back up for the season! That peach flavor was especially awesome as it tasted just like biting into the fruit 🍑 They actually get their ice cream from Bassetts in Philly which is the oldest ice cream in America 🤯 Bassetts opened in 1861 and it's easy to see why they are still open!

Breaking that open was the most satisfying 🥜

I needed something sweet so I tried a new bakery in Wilmington, Delaware! This bakery has all the same recipes as the previous storefront, Something Sweet, but new owners. definitely knocked these baked goods out of the park.

If you are looking for a great local bakery in Wilmington, this is your spot!
