Sourced from some of the Willamette Valley’s most distinctive vineyards and rooted in volcanic Jory soils, the Championship Anniversary Chardonnay and Pinot Noir showcase the complexity, and character of Oregon wine. Both wines are thoughtfully composed and integrated, offering distinct expressions of their respective sites. Here are the stats.

The Championship Anniversary Chardonnay comes from Hollis Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains, where volcanic Jory soils contribute to the wine’s depth and character. Fuller-bodied and more textured than our current Chardonnay offerings, this wine gains additional richness and weight from extended lees aging.

Bright lemon aromas lead into a palate reminiscent of your grandmother’s lemon pound cake, balancing vibrant citrus with a rich, rounded texture. Its added weight and complexity make it especially versatile at your dinner table – Channing suggests pairing this Chardonnay with a richer dish like carbonara.

The Championship Anniversary Pinot Noir is sourced primarily from Thoma Vineyard in the Dundee Hills, with a small amount of fruit from Ladd Hill. This is a quintessential expression of Oregon Pinot Noir – think cherry, baking spice, and subtle oak. Silky tannins encourage a smooth finish for this medium-bodied blend of 667 and 777 clones. If you live in Portland, Channing suggests pairing this with a pizza from Ken’s Artisan Pizza.
