What a day. This will be one to remember!
The R&R crew had a great day yesterday. We came away with the Grand Champion Hereford Bull with Bar Star Distinguished 4032; a very special bull we own with & purchased out of Bar Star Cattle, Chad & Stephanie Murnin’s sale last year that Delaney has been showing all year. A bull that you can love phenotypically, but just as impressively numbered too.
Both Murnins and ourselves have used him heavily in our AI programs and are excited to see what he continues to do in not only our herds but others as well.
The rest of our day was pretty great too:
- 3rd place in a tough cow/calf class
- 2nd with the Spring Heifer calf, who is out of Distinguished
- 2nd with a JDH Final Print son in the Jr Yearling division
- 2nd with a Summer Yearling embryo bull calf
- 1st place in Best Six Head
Plus a yearling heifer we sold this spring stood 3rd in a stout class.
We are so thankful for everyone’s help & support yesterday, it surely takes a village. Haven’t seen Jack Rife smile that big in a while so I’d say all the hard work was worth it.
