What gifts may come.....
Pearls from a workshop "The Importance of a Spiritual Guide"

Just as the Spring catalyzes the seed to sprout and the flower to bloom, so the Spiritual Guide helps the Self Express. Self Expression, true expression. And when the wind blows hard, the Guide will protect the beauty unfolding. This is the benevolence of Creation and the love it shares when the Self begins to seek.

Pearls from "Language and Music of the East"....there is only sound and light. Illusion can exist in light. Sound requires emptiness, a hollow space for resonance. Each note is a level of Creation. Listen from the heart.

Passion for Seeking

"Creation considers the passion and surrender the Self has for Truth. Put more passion into seeking and you shall receive." - Mystic Birinder

The following letter was received from Preet. Preet is one of the rare individuals in spiritual history. He was a college friend at Panjab University, quite close to Mystic Birinder and yet, 20 years later when they met again, was able to identify immediately who was standing before him.

"I know too well the value of the company of a complete Being, who is one with the Almighty.

It is so so rare to have it.
You are truly blessed.
Yes, that makes you very special indeed!
And although it is a matter of great pride, we have to be careful not to let that bloat our ego.

You don't have to do anything in the presence of Birinder. Just being with Him is spiritual elevation, and you will start seeing truth in day-to-day living. It is difficult to digest the enormity of what He is. He is nature. He is life. He is consciousness. He is the power that makes us see, hear, smell, touch, taste, think and speak. He is the Creator and He is Creation. All forms of life is He. On land, in the sea and air. Not only our planet, but the whole cosmos, and beyond. Whatever we eat, drink, breathe, touch and think, is He. He is not just the 5' 9" form we see. He is spread all around, from the minutest cell, to all the galaxies.

As the embryo in the womb of the mother, is part of the mother. Within and without it is the mother. So are we with Birinder. Within and without us is He. We are never separate from Him.

You must have heard that God is one. There is not even an infinitesimal division in Him. Then, to say that we are part of Him, would be division of God.

We ARE Him. We ARE Birinder. But our real self. Not the image created by the mind. Not the organism we see in the mirror, bound in time.

This is what we have to experience, and see with our own eyes. And it is only Birinder who can help us do so. Only He can remove the veil covering the pure, sacred, untouched Being of our real self. In His presence you will progress quickly, depending upon how badly you want Truth."

Love,
Preet

Ber Baba Budha Sahib

Baba Budha Ji camped beneath this tree (Beri) to perform the service of digging the holy tank and construction work of Sri Harmandir Sahib. He (whose original name was Bura) was born in village Kathu Nangal, Distt. Amritsar in October, 1506 to Bhai Sugha Randhwa and Mata Gauran Ji. Once Guru Nanak Sahib was returning to Kartarpur, the boy Bura while grazing his cattle near village Ramdas, saw him and presented milk with great reverence. The boy Bura put some questions about God and made some discussion. Guru Sahib was much impressed upon this boy’s simple but serious approach. On this Guru Nanak Sahib called him Budha (the old one) because Bura was yet yong in age but old in wisdom. Since then Bura came to be called as Baba Budha Ji.

When Guru Arjan Sahib (the Fifth Nanak) compiled Guru Granth Sahib and installed it in Sri Harmandir Sahib, Baba Budha ji was appointed as the first Granthi (the holy Granth reciter) in 1604 A.D. The all Guruship installation ceremonies from Guru Angad Sahib (the Second Nanak) to Guru Hargobind Sahib (the Sixth Nanak) were performed by Baba Budha Ji. He breathed his last in 1631 A.D. at village Ramdas and Guru Hargobind Sahib performed last rites of this great personality.
