SoCal Outlaw BBQ will be serving up the good stuff! Come grab their Friday special with a Loaded Baked Potato for $15 or dig into brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, potato salad, and more all weekend long at the Lake Elsinore Sand Showdown Presented by Auto World Service Center of Temecula June 5th - 7th.

Admission:
Adults (Ages 13+) - $20/Day or $50/3 Day Pass

SCA World Championship 2026 is a wrap…and wow what an experience! It started in 2025, winning a golden ticket in Bullhead City Az. Fast forward to this week, driving 1500 miles to get here. With 250+ competitors, we qualified on Friday in ribs finishing 2nd place in my group. Saturday we cooked our steak and finished 24th in my group of 51 competitors, that are the best steak cooks in the world. Needless to say we didn’t make the top 10 to move on to the finals in steak. So…we cooked ribs in the finals today (in 60mph winds 💨)and turned in a good box of ribs! We finished 8th place ribs…in the world! Definitely an unforgettable competition! The west coast boys cooked our butts off! Thank you Nate for the ribs! Thank you to the people and products we use to do all of this. , , .brisket , , ,

We had a great weekend cooking at the BBQ&Brew Festival in Yuma Arizona. It’s one of our favorite contests for a few reasons. First .garcia and the does a great job putting it together along with . Second we get to see our good friends Jeff and Lisa and our bbq family. It was hot and our generator was giving us a little issue but we cooked the best we could. Started Saturday off with a good luck shot and spun the wheel for the wild child category. Followed by a breakfast burrito made by .vegas, thank you Veronica. When it was all said and done we had a strong finish with 8th in chicken 🐔 , 5th in ribs 🍖, tied for 1st but in the tie breaker ended up 2nd in pork 🐖 with a perfect score 180, 15th in brisket 🐂 for an overall 3rd place finish! Congrats to Benny and on the GC, on the RGC. The winner of the wild child was .

Golden State Battle VIII treated us well! Important things first…the weather was superb, and the Italian dinner got the comp started off just right, thanks to James Palmer! 🍝

This comp came up quick after my weekend in Florida with Tillman Lee Nelson III , but the results are clear that it sure made a difference with a 1st in Ribs, 2nd with a 180 in Pork, 12th in Chicken and we aren’t even talking about Brisket (unavoidable mishap that will never happen again) 🤦🏼‍♂️, and a 6th in dessert 🍮…FYI…Banana Pudding is the new cheesecake!

Huge congrats to our buddy Smitty Loot N' B***y BBQ on his GC… we are shocked he pulled that off without Molly Cerreta Smith 🤷🏼‍♂️, and to Joe Wilson at Cherry Anchor on the RGC 🏆

We are looking forward to this comp season, it’s gonna be on fire 🔥 for sure! It’s always great seeing our BBQ friends, and enjoying our weekend mini vacays in Sunny SoCal. ☀️

A huge thanks to Cen Cal Smoke and Joe Wilson with Cherry Anchor BBQ for getting me last minute supplies needed. 🙌🏼
