Weaning day always makes me a little sad. Rose and her Blossom are missing each other.
But we are working to complete Blossom's halter breaking and get her ready for new adventures.

We were blessed to have Titan came to us from C**t Robinson's farm earlier this year. We brought in 2 potential stud dogs and both are amazing LGDs and important members of our guardian team, but Titan is now our only intact male. His unwavering devotion to his sheep has been truly impressive, especially for a young dog. We are looking forward to seeing little Titans next year.

The rams and a couple promising ram lambs will meet their girlfriends tomorrow.
Titan will have to wait a few more months to be reunited with Snowball, but we might have young LGDs as well in 2027.

Update: all available LGDs have relocated.
We may have young ones sometime in 2027.

This is Lily. She is one 2 female LGDs that we kept intact as breeding prospects.
Lily is now 2 and a half years old.
She is Akbash/Anatolian/Pyreneese.
She is dedicated to her sheep, and has proved trustworthy with young lambs.
She grew up with another female without issues. That dog has been reasigned. Lily continues to work well guarding sheep alone or with neutered males as working partners.
She has done well in fields that had free range chickens wander through, but has not been exposed to poultry for a few months.
She has had issues with a need for dominance over other female LGDs, especially around heat cycles.
Lily is an excellent sheep guardian and is still valuable to our farm, but we have decided to go with Snowball as the mother of our next generation.
Lily is not out of a job, but is willing to consider options.
If she stays here she will be spayed when it gets a little cooler and we will work with her on being a more versatile team player.
Rehoming fee is three digits starting with seven.

Belfair heifer calf Blossom (on the left) sharing after halter-training treats with Steer, who is about 2 months older. Blossom will be weaning in a couple months and is willing to discuss relocation plans.
Blossom is A2A2, hetero polled, out of a purebred Dexter cow (Rose), and sired by registered mini Jersey bull (Shorty).
