The final day 🤩🤩
A few behind the scenes pictures from the field included!!
For lunch we served sloppy joes with macaroni salad and chips!
And for dinner, we wrapped it up with a stack of Hunts Brothers Pizzas—definitely a tradition on the last day!! 🍕🍕
We want to thank every single person who took part in our corn silage harvest this year!! Every job and task, no matter how small or big they seem contributed tremendously!!
We are always grateful for our team! 💪🏻💪🏻

Day 11!
Another day, another pile picture, and more yummy meals!
We are so thankful for how smoothly everything has gone this year! Our team and their dedication to get this pile finished and to overcome little obstacles thrown their way does not go unnoticed! 💪🏻
For lunch we had crispy chicken sandwiches with macaroni salad and chips!
And for dinner, we served chicken fajita wraps with chips and salsa, and a chocolate chip cookie! 😋

Thought we’d share a different view of the pile this time! 🤩
And in the second picture of the silage pile, you can somewhat see the difference in height from this year’s (on the right) and last year’s (on the left)!
Lunch was our homemade subs 😋 (The Cool Guy Sandwich, as some of us call it!) with pasta salad and chips!
For dinner, we served meat loaf, mashed potatoes, corn, and snickerdoodles!

Day 9!
Another day, another silage pile pic 📸
We have what we call many different seasons here at the farm; planting season, straw season, manure season, silage season, etc.
This season might just be the most rewarding. Almost 2 straight weeks of hard work from each member of our crew, while always remembering to laugh and have fun 🥰
This pile will supply our herd with food for a full year! 🐄
For lunch we served homemade snack wraps with pasta salad and chips. (McDonald’s may have just recently brought them back, but they never left for us 😉)
And for dinner we had brisket sandwiches with mac & cheese, and cookies! Thank you again to Scott Jester for providing us with the brisket!! 😋

But we’re not done yet, tune in the next couple of days to see us wrap up this year’s silage season! 🌽

That’s one good lookin’ silage pile!!
Still thankful that our team is chugging along to finish strong this year 💪🏻
We love spending time at the pile dishing out meals and seeing the smiling faces!
Lunch was BBQ chicken sandwiches with potato salad and watermelon

The pile just keeps growing and growing!
Snagged a picture of a different angle just to show how tall it truly is! 😳
Our crew is the best! They’ve made it a great silage season so far 🥰
For lunch, we served BBQ chicken subs with potato salad and watermelon!
And dinner was another favorite! Pork loin with mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, and Mrs. Wick’s sugar cream pies donated by Scott Jester!

Day 4 (a little late because today was BUSY!)
We are still chugging along, building the pile, and filling bellies full of delicious food 😋
Lunch was homemade subs (a crowd favorite) with chips and pasta salad!
For dinner, we served up lasagna with garlic bread and brownies!

Day 3!!
Yet another eventful and fulfilling day here on the farm, in the fields, and everywhere in between! 💪🏻
A huge thank you to Farmhand Mike for making a visit! We can’t wait to see how he captured our corn silage harvest! (Be sure to check out his page & YouTube channel!) 🤩

For lunch, Sanne cooked up quite a bit of bacon for BLTs! 🥓🥬🍅 served with pasta salad & chips!
Dinner was also a yummy one with ham, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and a roll! 😋

Our Labor Day was spent in the fields, on the silage pile, in the equipment, in the kitchen, and many, many other places!
Always thankful for our team and the community around us who dedicate their time each year.
Lunch was our homemade subs with watermelon and a bag of chips 😋
