The Farm runs youth and adult ed programs, public and private events, and sells veggies, flowers, meat, eggs and other products at markets and via our online Store, Farm-to-Go. Started as colonial era Farm, Wright-Locke Farm is now being reborn as a community-based farm people of all ages can enjoy. The Farm offers certified organic produce and other local farm products, educational programs for children and adults, seasonal volunteer opportunities, and special events for the community, fundraising initiatives, and private celebrations. We are a community-based organization that relies on the financial support of the community to maintain our historic property, to invest in our development and to accomplish our volunteer-driven work. Come join us, or visit anytime. We offer lovely hiking trails, gorgeous views, beautiful historical buildings, and a unique link to farming in a suburban environment.

๐ŸŒธ CRAFT Day at the farm! ๐ŸŒฑ
The Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) brings apprentices together from farms throughout the region for hands-on learning and professional development.

We were thrilled to host this round and dive into the art and practice of flower growing! And who better to lead the discussion than our resident flower expert, Syrah? ๐ŸŒผ

Weโ€™re always grateful for opportunities to learn, share, and grow alongside our farming community.

A BIG shout-out to our two Tufts FOCUS (First-year Orientation CommUnity Service) groups who kicked off their freshman year by giving back at Wright-Locke Farm! ๐ŸŒฑ

One group, pictured here with Slim the goat, helped prepare our outdoor learning spaces for our Forest Friends preschool and kindergarten programs. The other got muddy in the fields, working alongside our farmers to help with planting.

What a great way to start the school year! Thanks for lending a hand, Tufts, and have a fantastic semester! ๐Ÿ’š

Wright-Locke Farm Makes a Cameo in a New Book! ๐Ÿ“š
In case you havenโ€™t heard, our little olโ€™ farm has been mentioned in Whistler, the new book by best-selling author Ann Patchett!

She references a raspberry farm โ€œup on the hillโ€ in Wi******er, MA โ€” and yep, that was us, back in the day! ๐Ÿ“

Weโ€™ve had so many folks excitedly tell us about the mention, and yesterday, a book club with an incredible 30-year reading tradition decided to take things one step further: they met right here at the farm to discuss the book. How fun is that?!

Weโ€™re absolutely delighted by our newfound literary fame โ€” and even happier that readers came out to enjoy a beautiful day on the farm, which these days does A LOT more than grow raspberries.
Thank you for the mention, Ann Patchett! Weโ€™re honored!
