Friendly reminder we don’t have PYO Apples this year however we will have bins of apples in the orchard for you to choose from.

HONEYCRISP APPLES!!🍎 Join us for our First Annual Honeycrisp Festival and spend the day celebrating one of everyone’s favorite apples with fresh Honeycrisp apples, delicious Honeycrisp treats, live music, local vendors, barbecue, and family fun on the farm! Free admission!

Stock up on fresh Honeycrisp apples from the market, then enjoy all things Honeycrisp including Honeycrisp applesauce, Honeycrisp cider, and Honeycrisp apple butter. Our bakery will also be stocked with fresh baked goodies and seasonal treats, so there will be plenty of delicious ways to celebrate Honeycrisp season!

The Robert Made Band will be playing from 1 - 4 PM, and Blue Ridge Bar-B-Q will be serving food all day. Browse local craft vendors and artisans, then bring the whole family for scenic wagon rides around the farm, cow train rides for the kids, and plenty of playground fun.

This year brought an unexpected challenge to the farm. A spring freeze took a significant portion of our apple crop, leaving us with fewer apples than we’ll need to carry us through the entire fall season. But here’s the thing about farming, you’re never really in it alone.

Fellow farmers in Central Virginia and Pennsylvania have stepped up to help, sending apples our way so we can keep our farmers market stocked, apple bins in the orchard, and our fall season rolling.

We’ll still have some of our own apples to share with you, but this year, you’ll also see apples from some of our farmer friends who’ve helped us along the way. We’re incredibly grateful for the farmers who have our backs, and we can’t wait to share the fruits of that partnership with you this fall.

🍎 A FALL UPDATE FROM MARKER-MILLER ORCHARDS 🍂 This spring a severe, multi-day freeze damaged much of our apple crop, and unfortunately, we will not have Pick Your Own apples available this season.

But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a fall visit to the orchard! We’ll have apples available in bins throughout the orchard, giving you the chance to come out, choose the apples you’d like, and still enjoy everything we love about fall at Marker-Miller, the crisp air, beautiful orchard views, and time spent together on the farm.

It may look a little different this year, but we’re still looking forward to welcoming you and making the most of the season with you. 🍎🍂 We’ll share more details on apple varieties and availability as we get closer to the season!

A quick blackberry update: Our blackberry patch will be closed this Monday + Tuesday to allow more berries to ripen. We appreciate your patience and can’t wait to have you picking again! 🫐 Thank you for supporting our family farm through every season. ❤️
