Thankful on this Submarine Saturday……thankful to the Torquato family for believing in us and choosing us to restore the building they grew up in—-1912 Graham Avenue. Their dad Jack owned it and operated Jack’s Appliances there for many years….it started out in 1924 as Marinelli Hardware. In our research and again thanks to the Torquatos, we gave all the original seeds that go back to it being an empty lot! Today, we are able to share the space with all of you—for ALL types of occasions THANKS TO THEM!
We included picture which is very special to us. The day that NFL Films came to Windber to shoot footage of Shaz hanging with his buddies and cutting Frank Kush’s hair. Lots of awesome things have happened in that space! There are many more to come! We are thankful and grateful to be able to share it with all of you!

Once again, we are proud to be hosting the Boutique ( its original name) at Marinelli Place at Leone’s Market! As always, there will be fantastic baked goods and beautifully created artisan crafts of all kinds. This has been a Windber tradition for over 40 years and we couldn’t be happier to play our part in its continued history. Please join us and support WAVE and the Windber Area Museum!

Missing our forever leader, “sub engineer,”inspirational supporter and beloved matriarch on what would have been her 102nd birthday. We are thankful and honored to carry on the family business—-every day in her memory!
She tackled each day with vim and vigor, strength and toughness. We miss her sorely but we are reminded of her so much when you—our customer family visit Leone’s Market! You tell us stories, remind us of your times with her and tell us how much she meant to you too! In her honor today, do something she always reminded us to do.
“Lift someone up. Help them. Call them. Bringing them something they may need. Let them know you care. Life is so short.”
