Our family has been enjoying NWP for years on end! Those who are new to Windsor and the surrounding areas should enjoy this space if you haven’t! Windsor is so lucky to have this beautiful open space to nurture exploration of nature, community and the like!
Our President's message from our 2025 Year-End letter.
Northwest Park: Year-End Reflections
As we approach another year’s end, Northwest Park continues to welcome more visitors than ever—a
wonderfully diverse community of people who enjoy the park in so many ways:
• Hiking the trails
• Exploring the organic garden
• Visiting the animal barn
• Participating in maple sugarhouse programs
• Winter cross-country skiing
• Finding something special in the gift shop
• Bird watching
• Attending the Pancake Breakfast
• Enjoying Saturday night concerts
• Joining environmental education programs
• And of course… just relaxing in nature
The Heart of Northwest Park
The Park is supported by its very own nonprofit volunteer group, The Friends of Northwest Park. Our
dedicated organization inspires the community to get involved by donating, volunteering, or becoming a
member. We are fortunate to have such passionate individuals and groups who have cared deeply for
Northwest Park, ensuring it remains a thriving place for all.
Protecting What Matters
Healthy natural habitats form the foundation of everything that happens at the park. Land preservation
and conservation are essential to sustaining this special place. If they could, the Grasshopper Sparrow,
Horsetail Plant, Eastern Hognose Snake, and Spotted Turtle—all endangered or species of concern—
would surely offer their thanks.
