Happy Birthday to my sweet girl, Stout! This was a fun review to read for many reasons. Adam, is constantly on wine message boards and recently saw a Rose for $150. Understandably, there was a lot of commotion and one independent wine reviewer said something along the lines ~ it doesn’t matter, there aren’t any good domestic Rose wines anyway. Well, Adam said, “Bet.” and sent him a bottle of my Rose to review. John, from Wine Disruptors, is the type of reviewer who likes to taste the wine over three days. You can read John’s full review below but overall, the Cliff’s Notes of my 2024 Rose of Pinot from the Santa Lucia Highlands: “Outstanding quality with nice acidity. Day 2: Even better. Day 3: Excellent and holding form of the quality of day 2. Love the fruit featuring cherry, watermelon and strawberries. Highly recommended. For me to give a domestic Rose 90 is tough but this is better than that. (92 points).”

🐾 Stout and I kicked off our morning with a vineyard adventure! 🌱 Excited to check in on my three Pinot Noir vineyards in the beautiful Russian River Valley. Did you know: When the vines are heavily into flowering, we’re about 100 days away from harvest! 🍇 Once those grapes get pollinated, the clusters “set” and we can finally count our fruit for 2025. This is a very exciting and pivotal time in the vineyard and I’m all about it! 🎉 Check out the vineyard photos for more details.

The weather is just perfect for this stage: light wind, no rain, and plenty of sunshine! ☀️ If these pics are any indication, I’m thinking September will be the month to start harvest. What do you think?

Who says meetings can’t be fun? 😎 Had a blast with Kim, chasing golf balls and chatting swag today! 🏌️‍♀️🧢 And yep, I brought one of my last 2023 Rosés for the occasion (already drooling over the 2024 release!). 🍷✨

It feels like ages since I’ve stepped out of the cellar to share my wines! I had an amazing time at a fantastic wine bar in Napa. Any Napkins out there recognize this fabulous woman/BIPOC-owned and supporting shop? More wine shows are on the horizon next week, but this time, I’ll be stepping into heels! 🌿🍇 As I prepare for my fourth harvest at “my” Russian River Valley Lakeview Vineyard, I’ve spent over 60 hours throughout August immersed in getting every cluster ready for picking. TWICE, I walked row by row, carefully removing wings and pruning away secondary fruit to help the vines focus their energy on the correct bunch of grapes. Each block of time I was in this vineyard, the hours flew by as minutes (though my back certainly reminds me it was hours!). I had a blast being among the vines, playing them good vibing music, and getting to know the flavors of this year’s vintage.

I feel like a kid at Christmas as I await the fruit arriving this Wednesday and I’m dreaming of crafting my best Lakeview Vineyard Pinot yet! Here’s to the magic of the vineyard and the enjoyment that is yet to unfold! 🍷❤️

**I found the cutest bird’s nest with an egg in the 114 clone—definitely need to let the crew know!
**Another fun find: as a psychology major, I’ve always been fascinated by identical twins. I discovered identical clusters in my 115 clone, emerging from the same node, complete with one green berry! I should have dropped one of them, but I couldn’t bear to do it, and now I’m giggling thinking of it. ☺️🤓👯‍♀️
