Since my April 2025 "Riding for Gait" Weekend Workshop is full, I am opening another one on May 17-18th, 2025, since I plan only one next fall.
As usual, in Windsor, SC...
While i have been primarily a breeder/trainer, I have spent over 40 years adapting classical principles of balanced seat riding, including self carriage on a loose rein, to developing natural consistency of an even 4 beat gait to all breeds of gaited horses, while respecting their signature "way of going."
Plus, it doesn't hurt that I have an MA in human Education to help me communicate effectively with you, the rider, to help put you in harmony with your horse...
Limited to 6 people, we review and discuss video after each morning and afternoon session to develop better self awareness, and also how to analyze video so you can continue improvement once back home.
I also cover other things that affect gait, such as hoof angles/lateral balance/watching tracking; saddle fit (on each participant), choosing, fitting, and using headgear, both bits and bitless.
