Happy Wacky Wednesday!
I haven't posted a lot in the last week because we have had a lot going on Long Road Home Ranch. Not only have I been in a constant flare with Lupus, we have several life events happening that took my energy.
1. My daughter was offered a job at Stagedoor Manor for the SUMMER. This is one of best theater based camps in the nation. She had interviewed in March and didn't get a call back until last Monday. She leaves tomorrow π’ to drive to New York and not be back until August 18th! Which happens to be the first day of her senior year of college. ππ If you don't know I raised my best friend and have not been apart from her longer than 2 weeks in 21.5 years. This Momma's heart is hurting! But its an excellent opportunity and I am excited for her. I wasn't given time to process.
2. Last Thursday we said goodbye to our adorable alpacas Elsa and Anna as we sent them to their forever home at Heavens Way Farm. We did an exchange as they wanted our girls and we needed a ram babydoll sheep for Halo. The more we talked they decided we would be a good fit to rehome their herd. So we welcomed 4 new sheep to our Family. Well 1 of those sheep was pregnant. Which leads to..
#3 Russ went out Monday to find a brand new baby lamb in the stallπ²
#4 Momma rejected him. She would have nothing to do with him, so after several hours we made the choice to pull him. He needed to be cleaned up and colostrum given and syringe milk. We have attempted to reintroduce them but she headbutts and kicks at him. The rest of the herd was doing the same. So we have a new house lamb named Shadow. π He has a attached himself to Russ and Loki our husky π
He finally was able to figure out a bottle this morning and I feel has made the crossover to out of the woods for now. We are in love of course.
#5 Annabella STILL hasn't had her baby but I am expecting this weekend during a full moon, thunderstorms, and as soon as Emily leaves and I am an emotional, exhausted wreck. That is when my dramatic cow will will go into to labor.
If you made it this far thank you. Prayers for the safety of my baby girl is appreciated and the well being of our new additions ππππ
