2026 is already shaping up to be one of the most unusual vintages we’ve seen at Bucher Vineyard.

Budbreak arrived in early March, followed by warm weather that pushed growth nearly three weeks ahead of schedule. Then Mother Nature changed course. Cool temperatures, rain, and unsettled weather throughout April and early May created a long and uneven flowering period across the vineyard.

Some blocks are well ahead, while others are still catching up, making it difficult to predict what harvest will bring. Lower yields, uneven ripening, and an earlier-than-normal harvest are all possibilities.

For now, patience is the name of the game. Every vintage tells a different story, and 2026 is already proving to be one we’ll be talking about for years to come. Swipe to check out some photos from Bucher Vineyard that show the unique growing season.

What a fantastic Saturday pouring at the Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience!

We had such a great time sharing Bucher wines with so many wonderful guests, reconnecting with friends, and soaking in the incredible energy of the weekend. One of the highlights was seeing Chef Carlos from Guiso Latin Fusion in Healdsburg — and his sweet mom!

Beautiful wine, amazing food, and the best community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to sip with us!
