What a San Francisco weekend! 🍷⚾️

We poured for the w**e club at California W**e Merchant on Chestnut St. in SF, where owner Greg O’Flynn has personally selected w**es from small California producers for more than 50 years!

We also caught up with our friend and fellow w**e lover Joe Lyons from Florida, an NBC Sports producer, who showed us behind the scenes at Oracle Park during the Giants-Padres game.

Five years ago, Roof 106 | The Matheson opened their doors in Healdsburg and started pouring our Bucher Vineyard Pinot Noir — and they haven't stopped since.

Last week we got to celebrate their 5-year anniversary with them, and it was such a treat. We had dinner, caught up with Chef and Owner Dustin Valette, and brought him a 1.5L magnum of our Pinot as a little thank you for five years of pouring our w**e.

We're so grateful for partners like Roof 106 who believe in what we're doing at Bucher W**es! Cheers to five more years!

Our latest Pinot Noir releases are already earning beautiful recognition from Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW, of The W**e Palate:

You watched us pick, sort and fill the tank with our Rock Ridge Pommard. 🍇

Two weeks later, fermentation is complete and it’s time to drain and press.

After a 24-hour settle in tank, into barrel it goes. 🍷 And it smells and tastes delicious!

This morning Harvest 2026 started at Bucher Vineyard! We picked Pommard Clone from Tory's Block for Williams Selyem. This is the first time harvest started in July. Bucher W**es will start next week. Stay tuned!

2026 is already shaping up to be one of the most unusual vintages we’ve seen at Bucher Vineyard.

Budbreak arrived in early March, followed by warm weather that pushed growth nearly three weeks ahead of schedule. Then Mother Nature changed course. Cool temperatures, rain, and unsettled weather throughout April and early May created a long and uneven flowering period across the vineyard.

Some blocks are well ahead, while others are still catching up, making it difficult to predict what harvest will bring. Lower yields, uneven ripening, and an earlier-than-normal harvest are all possibilities.

For now, patience is the name of the game. Every vintage tells a different story, and 2026 is already proving to be one we’ll be talking about for years to come. Swipe to check out some photos from Bucher Vineyard that show the unique growing season.
