We had a wonderful day at Caledonia County Fair Dairy Goat Shows. Treasured Sunrise Shimmer earned the first officially sanctioned guernsey grand champion title awarded in Vermont. To say we are thankful and honored to be stewards of Shimmer and the guernsey breed is an understatement.

We could not have made it through the show without the help of so many friends. A giant "Thank you" to Hailey Adcock, Julie Cannistraci, John Tyler Daniell, Meryl Daniell, Liza Welch and Carolyn Barkley Morrison for taking the collar more than once and helping our guernseys shine.

Congratulations to Mini Midori Farm and BusyB Goat Farm for your well deserved wins. It was an honor to be in the ring with you. 💛

Introducing New Morning MM Can U Hear Me Now, AKA Mia.

Mia was a little miracle kid. Born last spring, she was stuck in the birth canal with her head back, most breeders will agree this is the most difficult position to correct. For the first time ever, I had to call my vet and request assistance. Moments before our amazing vet arrived, her dam got a burst of strength and determination to push her out even with the head back. Mia was tiny, in shock and the outlook was grim.
She lived her first 6 weeks in our home, slept in a tote by my bed at night and romped around the house with our dogs. We wondered if she would be stunted but she has grown pretty well this summer.

Mia is our velcro goat, official greeter and most vocal nubian. We look forward to bringing her out to her first show this week. While we do not expect to bring home any show wins, we anticipate she will love the attention and time in the spotlight.

3. Guernsey doe kids reservations are going to be very limited as we are growing our herd and utilizing A.I.. We anticipate having an abundance of buck kids available.
4. A 10% discount will be offered on all buck kids pickup by 2 weeks of age. Will be trained to a bottle.

We breed miniature nubian and guernsey goats. Baby goats will be available for purchase every spring. These goats make great pets, family milkers, or for clearing overgrown brush.

Calling all local breeders with ADGA registered lamancha and recorded grades. There's a very well run, low stress goat show happening at the end of the month and we need just a few more goats to make these breed classes official.
