Thanks to a gift from ABB, Inc., and support from Forgotten Acres Farm llc, Praise Power and Prayer Temple, and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Windsor Historical Society announces FREE ADMISSION to its Bridging Centuries, Bridging Cultures: 400 Years of Windsor Stories galleries, its Hands-On-History Learning Center as well as its museum store in the coming months.
In the Windsor history galleries, discover Native American artifacts, beautifully decorative 17th and 18th century furniture including Oliver Ellsworth’s card table, items associated with Windsor’s to***co and brickmaking industries, historic photographs and maps, and much more.
In the Hands-On-History Learning Center, children can “milk” Flavia the cow, try on colonial costumes and assemble a colonial meal, experiment with knots, or browse through some delightful children’s books.
The museum store features a selection of perfect gifts and mementos: Windsor-specific mugs, tee-shirts, maps, artwork, and other locally-made items. Come visit and spread the word!
