The 2016 Chardonnay aromatics express layers of citrus notes compounded on fresh ginger, pineapple, and guava scents with underlying accents of, hazelnuts, honeycomb, and allspice. On the palate the wine exhibits terrific acidity coupled with buttery notes and sweet citrus Brule. The wine has a generous mouthfeel with a velvety texture and ample structure. The tannins are sweet with impressive depth. The wine finishes with sweet citrus and notes of smoky roasted marshmallow with a toasted nutty finish that keeps ongoing. This Chardonnay underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and has an alcohol of 15.2%
