V-Tex Whitetails, Elk, & Urials Ranch V-Tex provides the hunting experience of a lifetime. We take pride in offering you an amazing hunting adventure while staying in 5 star accommodations.

Hunting at V-Tex is second to none, whether it be Safari style, spot and stalk, or hunting out of a blind. Not many ranches can say they have produced a buck that is the best of show winner at the annual Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganza big buck contest. In the last three years we’ve had four winners, plus awards in other divisions of the TTHA. Our hunting takes place on our game fenced ranch which allows us to intensely manage our wildlife. We have the MLD permit which allows us to hunt from October through February. In our last seven hunting seasons we have had a 98% success rate and most hunters have harvested the biggest buck in their lifetime. The last two season the bucks taken have averaged slightly over 200 inches B&C. V-Tex Whitetails is owned and operated by James and Yvonne Veitenheimer. We are located in Windthorst Texas, which is approximately 90 miles northwest of Fort Worth. We are beginning our 17the year of breeding whitetails. The results that we have achieved are the rewards of the love and passion we have for the whitetail deer. I hope our website is helpful in meeting all your needs and info concerning VTex Whitetails. At V-Tex we began breeding whitetail deer in 1996 with our goal of growing some of the biggest and most beautiful deer in the state of Texas. As of today we have not strayed from that goal. Our philosophy has been and still is that you must have a long main beam, superb tine length, and great width to be able to create an awesome buck. For more information on our past and present breeders, lodging accommodations, and testimonials from others who have participated in the V-Tex Whitetails experience please visit our website at www.v-texwhitetails.com.

When Big Jake came to V-Tex we hoped we would get one or two breeding seasons out of him. Now he is ready for season three. We feel longevity is highly important in a breeding program.
