You guys know that milk has been part of my upbringing and training and the work ethic I learned on our dairy farm helped fuel my Olympic pursuits. 
 
That’s why I am so excited to announce I’m partnering with (Dairy Farmers of America) to help spread the message, far and wide, that dairy is good for you and good for the planet! DFA is the nation's largest dairy cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family-farmers– including my husband’s family farm!  
 
I love how DFA is working to enrich the communities across the nation as well as consumers’ lives through all the possibilities of dairy. Their focus on providing opportunities for rural communities to thrive, sharing nourishment to those in need and delivering sustainable dairy products to consumers are all things I share a passion for as a family farm-owner myself. 
 
We’re planning some exciting things together and I’m looking forward to sharing with all of you!

Want a simple easy recipe that support the dairy industry? Well this is one of our family’s favorites. New red potatoes sliced and placed in baking dish sprayed with olive oil. Optional to put onions. Jalapeños, and chives, then bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Once potatoes are tender. Add sour cream, butter, and cheese on top. Bake another 10 minutes and eat.

Have you ever wondered where our milk goes? Or how to support your local dairy farms?

Once our cows are milked, the milk is stored in a cooling tank at our dairy. Western Dairy Transport picks up our milk, along with milk from other Scotland, Windthorst, and local dairies. It is transported to a processing plant and cultured into sour cream!

More specifically, Daisy Brand and Chipotle Mexican Grill sour cream! 😋

Next time you see the "Go Local" label at the store, feel confident knowing where it was produced! Make sure to add an extra dollop of sour cream this June during National Dairy Month and support your local dairy farmers 🐮
