The Cowley County Livestock Association is proud to help sponsor the upcoming “Back to the Valley Festival” happening October 2nd & 3rd in Dexter, Kansas!

This exciting community event is centered around hometown pride, agriculture, tradition, music, and bringing people back together to celebrate the roots that make rural Kansas so special.

One part we are especially honored to support is the keynote luncheon speaker, Justin McKee. Justin is a nationally respected voice in agriculture and the western industry, and we are incredibly proud to help bring someone of his caliber to our area.

At the Cowley County Livestock Association, we believe supporting events like this is one more way we can serve our members and invest back into our rural communities. Agriculture is more than an industry — it’s people, heritage, leadership, and connection — and this event represents all of those things.

We encourage everyone to mark their calendars and support what is shaping up to be an incredible weekend for Dexter and the surrounding communities.

Big News for Our Ag Community!

Because of the incredible support from our first annual Cowley County Livestock Association Gala, we are proud and excited to announce that agriculture scholarships will be launching this spring!

The success of the event allowed us to move forward with awarding:
• $500 Scholarship – Female Recipient
• $500 Scholarship – Male Recipient

These scholarships are designed to support ag students pursuing any form of agricultural education — not just traditional college. Whether it’s trade school, certification programs, livestock training, or other ag-related opportunities, we want to invest in the future of agriculture right here in our community.

We are currently working on the application and will have details available soon.

This is a huge step forward, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors, donors, and community members who believe in the next generation of agriculture.

Ag kids — your future matters, and our community is behind you.
