After the popularity of our December Upward litter, Becky Bowen told me “you better feed one of those younger Upward boars out or send him to me to feed.” Like usual, I listened to Becky and I think that was a wise decision, but we’ll let the general public decide that this week.

⚫️Great Grandma was a $10k bred purchase by Robin Ridge Farms from Laird’s
⚫️Grandma was a result of that bred purchase from Laird’s and we bought her as a bred in the Fall of ‘22
⚫️Grandma has raised many banner winners and females that have gone on to generate.
⚫️Dam’s 1st litter, farrowing 13 unassisted
⚫️littermate barrows were a couple of our high sellers this spring and have found the backdrop many times already.

‼️The Draft HAMPSHIRE Entry‼️

🧬John Redcorn x Nun Better 🧬

This mid-December boar would be from one of the first litters sired by John Redcorn that stands at 333. He’s the popular $40,000 champion Hamp Boar at last year’s Indiana State Fair. 4-3 comes from one of the most consistent and deep litters of hamps we’ve raised with littermates finding some great homes across the Midwest.

Dam originated as a bred gilt purchase in the fall of 2023 from the Cain family over in Chariton, IA. She has raised a couple gilts that found success on the Iowa Jackpot Circuit in ‘24 and most recently raised our boar entry at Louisville last year. The dam has become a staple sow around here and her pedigree is lined up with some of Cain’s best stuff from a few years back. Nun Better’s Granddam raised the champion NJSA Barrow at the 2020 Exposition.

A boar that has looked the part from day 1 and offers some unique qualities that are hard to put together in this breed.
