Due to the slow time of year, Winifred Grocery is not doing sandwiches for the next couple months.

We also will be CLOSED on Sundays for the months of February and March. This is also due to unforeseen circumstances that will cause a shortage of staff. We appreciate our community and customers and will return to our regular schedule in April.

Winifred Grocery is temporarily closed through Monday 17th until our new system is up. Sorry, but Absolutely no transactions can be processed . Our present system’s life expectancy is over. I will update this post as soon as we’re up and running.

To the Winifred Mustangs 4-H Club:

Thank you so much for the honor you bestowed on the Winifred Grocery and Leen n’Bottles at the game last weekend! I am happy to support such a great program and our Winifred kids and their leaders are the best!

Also, in case you didn’t know, your hogs bailed us out this year as one shortage was sausage! Thanks to our purchase of your pigs, we were able to continue making our famous breakfast burritos!

Thanks so much for your recognition and we look forward to continuing to support our 4-H!

Thanks to the purchases made by our community during the month of December, Winifred Grocery is making a donation of $7,014 to the Denton Fire Relief Fund at Opportunity Bank.

We know this won't solve the problems caused by the fire, but we hope this modest donation helps the Denton community in some small way to rebuild.

The damage done by the fire in Denton is both heartbreaking and terrifying.

To help out our neighbors in Denton in what ways we can, we will be donating a total of 10% of Winifred Grocery's December sales (excluding liquor and lottery).

We are making $500 donations to the Winifred and Hilger Fire Departments, and the rest of the funds will go to the Denton Fire Relief Fund at Opportunity Bank.

Please help us help Denton as we stand together with a community that has given all of us so much over our lives and through our community's history.

Just a reminder that Winifred Grocery will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will also be closed on New Years Day. We appreciate all our customers and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Due to our entire staff being exposed to COVID 19, Winifred Grocery will be closed for self-quarantine until Monday, October 19, tentatively. We will do curbside pick-up 11:00AM till 3:00PM daily. Call the store 462-5444 to put in your order. We have restocked our milk and will restock bread on Wednesday, but will not be putting in a merchandise order this week. We won’t be offering sandwiches, breakfast burritos, or donuts during this time. Please direct questions or comments to Eileen. We’re very sorry for your inconvenience and will do our best to continue serving you.
