You have heard less of us lately. Behind the scenes, we have been working through some challenges and in the spirit of “honesty always”, I wanted to share an update…
During the pandemic and particularly the last year, we have come across challenges that we never anticipated. Ingredient prices have skyrocketed. Production has become extremely difficult due to labor shortages. Logistics is a mess, especially for companies like us sourcing from abroad. We have tried to pivot and re-evaluate, we really tried. But right now, we simply cannot produce our products with the quality we want, at the price we have promised. So, we have decided to begin a sabbatical and will no longer be selling or producing for now. We are sold out on our website, but still selling at retail partners like Whole Foods and Erewhon for a few more months.
And what a tough decision this was. These past 6 years have included so many highs and lows, but we always pushed forward with the goal of introducing Persian culture, through food. And while we are saying “goodbye for now”, I feel that we achieved our mission, in a small way, and for that I am proud.
Thank you all. You made my dream a reality! Seeing my product in your hands, getting your feedback, growing distribution, learning about running a family food business, making lifelong friends. It’s been a wonderful journey, and I cannot thank you enough.
