We appreciate the time you all spend carrying the message of US Ag
producers to Washington! It’s a pivotal moment for US agriculture and we are still waiting for AMERICA FIRST to become a real priority on Pennsylvania Avenue 🤍
This was very difficult to read this morning from President Trump. Frustrated and disappointed is an understatement.
I will be with the administration next week to ask questions more directly and will report back my findings.

For now, let me be clear on a few things that Washington DC needs to hear from cattle country…
- American cattle ranchers want free and fair markets; however, we exist in a monopolized, consolidated, corporatized system that doesn’t favor the producer. Yet, we continue to fight for what’s right and stand for the truth because WE ARE NOT SERFS.
- American voters want AMERICA FIRST policies that ensure our nation is free and fed. Food security is national security. Period. That means the USA needs to be NUMBER ONE in food production, not opening up the door for our adversaries to lead in agriculture while we rely on foreign countries to feed us.
- American consumers LOVE BEEF. We are at a 40-year demand for USA BEEF. They deserve transparency and truth in labeling. They deserve consumer choice. Price fixing isn’t the solution. Beef can be purchased at any price point. A $6 lb. of ground beef can provide a family of four with 25 grams of protein in a serving. It’s a nutritional powerhouse that has immense value, but producers don’t work for free.
- The U.S. rancher can and will rise to the occasion of the growing demand for beef, but that requires confidence to invest and rebuild the cow herd. This is a challenge if we are continually getting kicked in the teeth by the government, creating volatility and uncertainty at a time when it should be full steam ahead for producers.
