What do you get from us when you order Ameraucana/EE straight run chicks. This means that the hen was an Ameraucana, but the Roo was an Easter Egger, meaning our Roo was from an Ameraucana hen crossed with another breed (we don’t know the other breed as it came from the hatchery as a surprise). It could produce more blue Eggers / olive Eggers or the offspring might end up laying brown eggs. There is a high chance they will at least lay light green/olive eggs though. Straight run also means we do not s*x them. The hatcheries can attempt to s*x them, but even they will tell you their methods aren’t 💯 accurate. And it can be dangerous for the chicks to do so.
Our Barnyard mix chicks are again, straight run, and a mix of the breeds we have, which currently include Ameraucana, Columbian Wyandotte, Cuckoo Marans, White Plymouth rocks, Bielefelder, Salmon Faverolle, Rhode Island Red and ISA brown hens, all covered by an Easter Egger Roo.
We specifically ask customers if they understand what they are getting may be female or male and we have no way of knowing until they mature into adult birds.
The only chicks we hatch currently that we can determine s*x of is Bielefelders. They are autos*xing, therefore, we know at hatch if it is a pullet or a roo.
We are a small breeder and while we can’t promise that we will get enough pullets or chicks hatched to fill your order the first time, we hope our customers realize we do what we can to fulfill their orders the first hatch date and openly will discuss their options if we don’t have a hatch with exactly what we had hoped.
As always, If you have any questions regarding your order or feel like your order is not correct, please contact us directly. We want our chick owners to be happy with what they are getting, and with the full understanding of what they are ordering and receiving.
