We are saddened to hear of the passing of Jesse Wright of Boggy Creek Honey.

Jesse was part of the Winnsboro Farmers Market family for many years. Due to his health, he wasn’t able to join us this year, but we have so many wonderful memories of this incredible farmer.

Jesse was always willing to lend a hand to others, as much and as often as he could. He was an amazing storyteller who never met a stranger. He loved children and was always bragging on the market kids and his grandkids to anyone who would listen. You could tell how much he loved his family and the people around him.

One Jesse memory that will always stick with us happened on Market Street. His foot got run over by a car, and as everyone stood around panicking, the driver put the car in reverse and ran over his foot a second time! And somehow, Jesse was right back at the market the very next week, helping everyone unload.

That was Jesse. Always showing up, always willing to lend a hand, and always part of the family. ❤️

Jesse was more than a friend to us. He was family, and he will be deeply missed.

Our hearts are heavy as we remember Jesse and the many years he spent as part of our market. We are praying for his family and friends during this difficult time, and we find comfort in knowing he is now home with his Lord.

Rest easy, Jesse. Thank you for the stories, the kindness, and the memories. ❤️

🐎 Saddle up for the Autumn Trails Trail Ride!

🎲 Enjoy a little friendly competition at the 42 Domino Tournament!

🐴 Cheer on the action at the Winnsboro Rodeo Association Mule Rodeo!

🎶 Dance the night away at the Barn Dance after the Mule Rodeo!

Today is the PERFECT day to get out and Experience Winnsboro, Texas! ☀️🍂 There is so much happening around town today, so make a day of it!

🌽 Start your morning at the Winnsboro Farmers Market from 8am to noon.

🛍️ Then stroll over to the Artisan Walk on The Bowery from 10am to 2pm and shop with some amazing local makers.

🍲 Head to City Park for Autumn Trail fun, including the stew cook-off, carnival day, and the pie and cake contest!

🎶 And don’t head home too early! There’s a concert at City Park this evening to wrap up a full day of fun.
