It opened in 2018 but closed to the public in Feb 2026 after 7 years. During that time, it was the highest rated brewery on Untappd in Texas. Cypress Creek Southern Ales is a family owned, small batch, nano-brewery where we are hand crafting unique and flavorful Texas inspired beers and ales. Our passion for beer and brewing knows no bounds and our owner has been deeply involved in the craft beer

market since 2010. Like a lot of other breweries before us, we have a very simple goal; brew the beers we want to drink. We invite all guests, 21 and over, to hangout, enjoy our beers, and chat with us and our other guests. During good weather months our outdoor venue is open for co****le. We love meeting new people and seeing our friends and familiar faces, so come on by for a visit. Our brewery is a one-man operation and our product selection will change frequently. We encourage everyone to visit our online menu, and check our social media feeds, for our latest offerings and hours. Our published closing hours are always, and will remain, flexible, to keep our operating costs to a minimum. We may, at times, publish early closing and last call hours, if the taproom is very slow. Please be respectful and understand that the brewery taproom will close early, if there are not enough customers to cover the operating costs. Children and Pets are allowed at the brewery, however, we have restrictions so all of our guests can have an enjoyable experience. Children must stay seated at your table and should be discouraged from roaming the property. The property is not "child friendly" and we do not want your children getting hurt. Pets are welcome on the patio, but all pets need to be physically restrained on a leash and MUST BE CURRENT ON VACCINATIONS. You may be asked for their current records so please have those available. Your Pets should be on a flea treatment and should be taking a heartworm medication. We have a brewery dog and a brewery cat, so please be respectful of their home. If you suspect your pet is sick, please do not bring them to the brewery. When your pet uses the facilities, please PICK UP AFTER THEM, we have bags so please ask us. The possibilities are endless so come visit us and join our brewing adventure!

After last night, our hearts are full, our kegs are empty and the sun has finally set.

Thank you to everyone who came out to share one last pour, one last laugh, one last memory with us at Cypress Creek Southern Ales. Seeing so many familiar faces, hearing your stories, your kind words, and your memories of this place meant more to us than we can ever properly express.

What started as a dream became something far greater because of you. For seven years, this wasn’t just a brewery — it was a gathering place. A place for friends, families, game nights, celebrations, quiet conversations, and new friendships. Last night wasn’t a goodbye to a business, it was a celebration of a community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey, for supporting small craft beer, and for helping us create something truly special here in Winnsboro, Texas.

The lights may be off at the taproom, but the memories, the friendships, and the Cypress Creek family will always remain.

Please watch our social media pages for our final couple of bottle/can release days, which will happen as I brew my final batches in the coming months.

The brewery taproom is OPEN on Saturdays from noon until 9pm.

Yes, we brew the beer onsite, right here in Winnsboro TX. No, we don't have any other beer brands, wine, or liquor.

Our beer is made with high quality ingredients and highly filtered water. Our beer has flavor. Some of our beer is brewed like it is in other countries. Most of our beer doesn't taste like an American Lager. All of our beer tastes great.

The weather isn't bad yet so we will be OPEN until later this afternoon. Not exactly sure of the time, but probably around 4:00pm.

As a small business with very tight margins we really can't afford to take a snow day. If you are out, stop by the brewery taproom and say hello. It's warm in here and the beer is local.

Before you leave take home a couple of 32oz Crowlers because we don't know what the week will bring.

IF THE ROADS ARE CLEAR, AND IF WE HAVE POWER AND IF THE PIPES ARE NOT FROZEN, WE WILL BE OPEN FROM NOON TO 4:00PM ONLY (that's a lot of IFs). WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO DROP BY AND GET A TOGO CROWLER IF WE CAN OPEN.

Cypress Creek Southern Ales Beer Braised Burger Baskets!!

Join us Wednesday night from 6pm to 8pm at the Pittsburg VFW Post 5398, located on FM21 just off Highway 11 (16 miles from Winnsboro), for our beer braised burger baskets benefiting our Veterans.

The Pittsburg VFW is open to the public with Shuffleboard, Pool Tables, Electronic Games, a full bar and great company.

Come down and support our Vets and say hello to us as we will be serving up these special burgers for you all.
