Roots
Where all life comes from, literally and figuratively. With these roots is where the story of Bella Stella Vineyard:Winery begins. In 2008, after a long career with the government, Peter Thieme decided to make one more move into the town of Winnsboro, Texas. Not only did the members of his actual family tree come with him, but also some 210 muscadine plants that made their roots in the front

of our new home. As we began to settle in, so did the grapes. There were times of drought and times of rain, and here in Texas, rain IS a good thing. Our biggest rainstorm happened when we acquired some more acreage and with it an older home. With A LOT of TLC we renovated the building and made it the Bella Stella Cottage, a bed and breakfast. The time has arrived 😕 It is our last weekend before we close the doors. Come out to say goodbye and enjoy dinner and drinks with us one last time! Great News! German food is back for the weekend at Bella Stella Winery! This weekend's specials are: Jager Schnitzel with red cabbage, a dumpling and goulash soup or German Sausage Platter with sauerkraut, dumpling and soup 🤗. You only have two weekends to come see us so make your plans to come out this weekend for dinner and drinks 🍷. * Due to unforseen circumstances, we will not be opening until 4:00pm Friday. Happy Wednesday!! We hope you enjoyed the holiday with your family and friends! Im sure you are tired of cooking so remember we are back this weekend!
