Dear Berry Pickers,

There was a lot of rain last night and it is still pouring so we are going to be closed today for Memorial Day. We also had several hot sunny days which combined with the next few days of rain has essentially ended our strawberry season. I doubt if we will be open again for strawberry picking until next year which will be end of March, 2026.

I wanted to thank all of our customers that have purchased and helped us through our first year as a commercial strawberry producer.

Dear Berry Pickers,

Today might be our last day for strawberries. I was also going to be open Memorial Day but it looks like we are going to have thunderstorms. The hot weather has been hard on the strawberry plants and they are almost done for the season.

Weather will be warm and overcast. Bring a hat, something to drink and smiles. I have baskets for you to use.

Berries are $5 a pound
Flowers are $1 a stem or $20 for a mason jar.

Open today between 9AM and 6PM.

Check Facebook for updates because I will close the field as soon as all the berries are picked.

Dear Berry Pickers,

We are open today (Thursday) to pick berries and cut flowers.

It is going to be sunny and hot with no clouds. Bring a hat, sunscreen and something to drink. Come early before it gets hot.

The strawberry season is almost over so come and get them while you can.

We are getting showers and high winds here at the berry patch so I've gone ahead and closed down the berry picking for the day. We will be open next Saturday at 9AM.

Dear Berry Pickers,

We have strawberries and flowers that need to be picked. Weather is overcast with a chance of showers; it won't be hot today. Bring a raincoat and smiles. We have baskets you can use.

We have everything you need to pick berries and flowers. Berries are $5 a pound. Flowers are $1 a stem or $20 for what you can fit in a mason jar.

Our location is: 4359 N FM 2869, WinnsboroOpen 9AM to 6PM, will close early if there is heavy rain or all the ripe berries are picked.

Our strawberry field is mature which means the berries are covered by a thick layer of leaves which helps protect them from the hot, relentless Texas sun and also light rains. This strong Texas sun will sunburn the berries.

So to find the really good berries you will need to look underneath the strawberry leaves.

Check Facebook or your email for important updates. When all the ripe berries are picked I will be shutting the picking down.
