Most of us want answers now. We want doors to open now. We want prayers answered now. But some of God’s greatest work happens while we’re waiting. That’s where faith is built, character is strengthened, and trust grows deeper.

Psalm 27:14 reminds us to “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Sometimes the answer isn’t “no.” Sometimes it’s simply “not yet.”

It seems like everywhere you look these days, people are angry. Politics, social media, even everyday conversations can turn into arguments in a matter of seconds.

But Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Not the troublemakers. Not the loudest voices in the room. Not the people looking for a fight.

The peacemakers.

The ones who choose grace when anger would be easier. The ones who listen before they speak. The ones who build bridges instead of burning them.

Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean compromising truth. It means carrying yourself in a way that reflects Christ, even when the world around you doesn’t.

The world has enough division. Be the person who brings peace.

Most of us woke up this morning in a free country and never gave it a second thought.

Eighty-two years ago, thousands of young men climbed out of landing craft and into gunfire on the beaches of Normandy. Many of them never came home. They didn’t know if they would survive the day. They went anyway.

Today, we enjoy freedoms they never got to enjoy because they were willing to sacrifice everything for people they would never meet.

Freedom isn’t free. It was purchased with courage, sacrifice, and the blood of ordinary men who answered an extraordinary call.

Before we complain about our problems, let’s remember the generation that stormed the beaches, fought tyranny, and changed the course of history.

At Bar W Coffee Roasters, we pause today to honor those heroes. We remember their sacrifice. We cherish the freedom they secured. And we thank God for the men and women who have defended this nation throughout its history.

We will never forget.

We celebrate Girl Power every day at Bar W Coffee Roasters. Let’s be honest, women are the backbone of a lot of things. Families, businesses, communities, churches, and homes often stand strong because of the women who show up every day and make things happen.

They’re strong when life gets hard, compassionate when others are hurting, and determined when everyone else is ready to quit. They juggle responsibilities, carry burdens nobody sees, and somehow still find time to take care of everyone around them.

To all the moms, wives, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, and hardworking women out there: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re thankful for you.

God created women with incredible strength, wisdom, and purpose, and the world is a better place because of it.

Here’s to the women who keep things moving, hold things together, and make life better for everyone around them.
