Blue Truck Hot Sauce will be available at Handmade Neighborhood this Saturday Nov. 22, at the Winona County Historical Society 10 am to 4 pm, FREE admission. Taste and buy hot sauces and find locally made arts craft items by dozens of talented artists.

Still harvesting peppers! My porch is fully stocked with three kinds of hot sauces (Velvet Hammer, Tropical Kiss, and South of Heaven) and some pickled Hatch peppers. It was a nearly perfect growing season and my hot sauces have never tasted better.

Pick some up for the cooler days ahead, heat up and spice your stews, chiles, pozoles, dutch oven stews, slow cooker meals and more.

BTHS is participating in Salsa Rica, a salsa tasting and fundraiser at the Winona American Legion on Sarnia, today 3 to 6 pm. I partnered with Volunteer Winona Volunteer Services and made a salsa verde. Raffle, food trucks, salsa tasing, silent auction, and more.

The second annual Salsa Rica event is scheduled for March 22, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at the American Legion.

For a quick, easy, and delicious green enchilada sauce, simmer one bottle of Blue Truck Hot Sauce Velvet Hammer with a cup of chicken stock and pour over your favorite enchiladas. These are shredded chicken enchiladas with Oaxacan cheese, garden fresh cilantro, Mexican crema, and lime juice, amazing!
