New merch alert! These rad little zipper totes are made from repurposed recycled malt bags from Malt Europe here in Winona! These bags originally were used to hold product to brew your favorite Two Fathoms craft beer! They are handcrafted by the insanely talented local artist, Esther!!

Bayou Grenouille Cajun Dance Band
(by-you gren-wee’)

Bayou Grenouille (or Frog Slough if you’re from the upper end of the Mississippi like they are) plays the traditional Cajun dance music of rural SW Louisiana. Following in the footsteps of groups such as the Balfa Brothers, this all-acoustic band consists of accordion, two fiddles (sometimes 3), rhythm guitar and bass. Most of the singing is in Cajun French.

Maureen Mullen (guitar and vocals) brings to the band years of playing with the award-winning Bone Tones Cajun Dance Band, The Buffalo Gals and Roux LaLa. She has taught Cajun dance nationally since 1986.

Betsy Neil (fiddle and vocals) has been performing since 1976 in various groups, including The Buffalo Gals, Rusty Swing Set, Opposable Thumbs, Roux LaLa, and most recently, String Ties Xmas Show.

Matt Neil (fiddle) was a member of The Mill City Grinders and the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers’ Band. He occasionally plays for the Monday Night Square Dance in Minneapolis.

Gary Powell (accordion, fiddle and vocals) is a veteran of Cajun music having played for many years in bands including the Bone Tones Cajun Dance Band and The Faux Playboys. He also plays lap steel with The Hulu Peppers.

Doug Lohman (bass and vocals)
Doug has performed with many Twin Cities area groups of many styles, most notably, Stoney Lonesome. He also played with the award-winning Bone Tones Cajun Dance Band, Roux LaLa, and The Buffalo Gals. Doug is also a sound engineer, having provided amazing sound for several major festivals in the Mid-west.

Together these musicians blend the haunting melodies and powerful rhythms of Cajun two steps and waltzes that will transport you down the Mississippi River to the bayous of Louisiana.
