What is your favorite pepper to grow or to eat? For a.long time my favorite was shish*to and anaheim. However we started growing pasillas and jimmy nardello. These are quickly becoming my favorite to both grow and eat.

Just picked the first super hot.pepper of the season. It was a.carolina reaper that was still ripening. It was about half way through the ripening process. I decided to pull it and give it a taste. That was a dumb idea. It is crazy hot and I have been sweating for the last 30 minutes.

What's on the menu for today. Smoked mutton with a garlic, Dijon butter and rosemary garlic Yukon gold potatoes. All of this came from our farm and a local sheep herder. Except for the Dijon and olive oil. This is how people should be eating. Straight from the land.

Oh yeah. The carolina reapers are starting to.form. super hot peppers like these are a real.pain in the butt to get going but Im always up for a challenge. Widely considered the hottest pepper in the world, first created by Ed Currie,.is now being grown right here on the Navajo Nation. We also have a truly unique monster pepper also growing here, but i will wait to reveal it until i get a few more.chilis to form. The one on the left is a carolina reaper, the other is the secret one, which will be revealed later.

Harvest total on 3-50ft beds of yukon gold potatoes, 167 lbs. These should help keep our bellies full this winter .
