Utilizing the Highland Stream and Mad River to generate the power necessary to turn their machines, the company became prolific in the production of edged tools, selling them both nationally and abroad. The tool quality was exceptional and The Winsted Edge Tool Works enjoyed a very high reputation among users for over 100 years. In honor of the high quality and exceptional reputation every tool produced at the facility carried, we have named the plaza Winsted Edge Works.
