Winston-Salem, how would you like to experience the legendary Sweet Potatoes (well shut my mouth!!) - a restaurant one more time?

One of the highlights of this year’s Eat Drink Triad Restaurant Week is the opportunity to celebrate a remarkable chapter in Winston-Salem’s culinary history.

For more than two decades, Chef Stephanie Tyson and Vivián Joiner helped shape our downtown dining scene through the legendary Sweet Potatoes and its sister restaurant, Miss Ora’s Kitchen. Their Southern cooking, unforgettable hospitality and commitment to community made both restaurants beloved local institutions.

When Sweet Potatoes closed in February 2025, our community lost more than a restaurant. We lost a gathering place filled with memories, traditions and flavors that helped define Winston-Salem.

But on Saturday, October 24, Chef Stephanie Tyson returns to the kitchen for one very special evening!

We’re bringing you an Eat Drink Triad Restaurant Week | Southern Supper at Manolo’s Bistro, featuring an intimate, family-style dining experience inspired by the cooking that made Sweet Potatoes legendary.

This is what Restaurant Week is all about. Celebrating our culinary heritage, reconnecting our community and creating experiences that remind us why local restaurants matter.

Whether you were a longtime regular or never had the opportunity to experience Sweet Potatoes, this is your invitation to pull up a chair.

Winston-Salem Restaurant Week is almost here, and we’re giving you a look at what’s on the menu!

October 23–November 1, Eat Drink Triad Restaurant Week brings together 25 local restaurants for ten days of special menu features, live experiences and opportunities to discover Winston-Salem’s incredible food scene.

And there’s something for just about every appetite and budget! Most of our special features are priced between $10 and $23. From barbecue and burgers to international cuisine, Southern comfort food, breakfast favorites and desserts, there’s plenty to explore.
