The baby chicks are officially a week old now! All 9 are thriving and mama hen is doing a great job raising them, as you can see in this video! Listen to her noises that alert the chicks of potential danger and watch how the chicks react - so neat!

This is real homesteading, real gardening, so I don’t mind sharing it! Messy bed head, yesterday’s tshirt, sweatpants, and flip flops - but we’re still out here harvesting our tiny onion crop!

This is our first ever vegetable harvest that we grew ourselves! They may not be the biggest onions but we’re a mixed Mexican culture household anyway so are on the menu!! Yum!

So grateful 💛🧅
