Six years ago today, October 14, 2020, the East Troublesome Fire ignited in Colorado, forever changing the landscape and the lives of those who called the area home.

This Saturday, October 17, Bourbon Blenders will share a special tasting feature of Locke + Co. Big Blaze Bourbon, a wh***ey with a meaningful connection to that devastating fire and the community's resilience.

We were living in Colorado at the time and until this week I didn’t realize how much that fire affected me.

More than just a wh***ey review. There's a story worth telling. 🥃🔥

For this weeks offering we are bringing back our friends at Locke + Co. Distilling located in Colorado.
We will be featuring their Big Blaze Bourbon, aged for 5 years and bottled at 95° proof.
This wh***ey is unique in the fact that it has been finished with naturally burned hand cut aspen discs from the 2020 East Troublesome Fire in Grand County, CO.
10% of the proceeds from this bourbon go to the Fire Assessment & Mitigation Programs in Grand County.

Maple Manhattan 🥃
* 2 oz Locke + Co. Distilling Big Catch Bourbon or Aspen Aged Rye
* 1 oz sweet vermouth
* ¼ oz maple syrup
* 2 dashes pecan bitters

Pumpkin Ginger Spice🎃
- 2 oz of Locke + Co wh***ey
- 1-2 oz pumpkin syrup
- 1/2 oz orange juice
- Top with ginger b**r

Black Manhattan🍒
* Two parts Locke & Co Distilling Aspen Aged Rye
* One part Montenegro Amaro Liqueur
* Three shakes of cherry bitters
* One Luxardo Cherry

Apple C***r Old Fashioned 🍎
* 2 ½ oz Locke + Co. Distilling Aspen Aged Rye
* 2 oz apple c***r
