Moving the bees turned into quite the feat. First we had to build a platform. Thanks to gma and gpa! Then on to sealing up the hives and relocating. We called it a day at about 10:30pm and will have to finish tomorrow. Winter Park, FL

Just checked the honey supers and they all look full, so we will try to harvest next weekend. This will be the largest harvest we have ever had! Let us know if you want some honey for the holidays!

Looks like we have about 40-50 pounds of honey to harvest from the hives. Now we just need to find some babysitters to help during the honey extraction :)

After working the bees today I thought we should post some EGH news... we'll be harvesting in the next few weeks and then at some point this summer relocating our hives to our new home. Anyone want to help? Here's an old clip from April:

I had to refrain from posting the actual attempt to capture our escaped hive due to the profanities (mainly from me and Hayley as we were trying to film Rob and run away from all of the bees at the same time).
