We started two new bee hives at the farm this morning, courtesy of ‘nuc’ colonies purchased from Peter Cowin (aka - The Bee Whisperer) in Hampden, ME.

These nuc colonies are essentially mini-hives that are then combined into larger hive boxes to allow the colony room to grow (and make more honey!).
