Wow! Once again, we are completely sold out for our upcoming Scratch Pizza Night on The Farm! Thank you so so much for supporting our tiny little farm and all the fun things we do! Your support of our small business is mind boggling and overwhelming! Mark those calendars! August's Fridays at The Farm is this Friday night! Farm store opens at 5pm and music by Willie Mac and The Lost Cousins from 6-9 with Farm fresh food by our farm chefs Mark and Kayla! Covered Bridges Wine and Cider from Winterset Cidery will be available for purchase by the bottle in the farm store or you are welcome to BYOB. 5$/ cover. Bring a chair if you'd like, bring your flock and chill out with us at SHF!

Speckled Hen Farms is open Saturday from 11-3! Just harvested veggies include: Tomatoes 🍅/ peppers 🌶 ( variety, including shish*tos, banana and Italian Thin Skins), cucumbers, green beans and another beautiful batch of local, fresh 🍑 peaches! Farm fresh eggs, Fresh Salsa and artisan bread! ( artisan bread flavors this week are: Norwegian Seed/ Everything/ Jalapeno Garlic Parsley Parmesan/ Garden Fredh Pepper Garlic and Italian Herb! Have you registered to be a vendor yet? We are accepting applications for our annual Holiday Market On The Farm event on Saturday November 7th @ Speckled Hen Farms and Lone Oaks Barn! Are you an artisan, maker, boutique retailer, small business or specialty food producer? We would love to have you be a part of Madison County's one of a kind " open air style market!" Vendor space fee is $60, and applications are open until October 15th. When you have a massive abundance of tomatoes 🍅, peppers and zucchini?? Why not! Recipe? Nope, just keep adding, simmering, tasting, adding fresh herbs and blend it up! And 2 hours later...success! Now repeating it may be a different story!😅 But that's what keeps it fun!

I had a little help today from Mr Ice the cat! (* well, maybe not overly helpful, but he kept me company!) Speckled Hen Farms is open Saturday from 11-3 and we have lots of produce to sell AND the 1st batch of Farm Fresh Salsa! Ooh and something really special...FRESH local 🍑 peaches! (* I've been sampling as I washed them and they are delicious! Freshly baked artisan bread flavors tomorrow are: Everything/ Jalapeno Maple Sugar/ Cilantro Lime/ Norwegian Seed Bread/ Roasted Garlic Rosemary Sea Salt and Cajun! See you tomorrow @ the farm store!
