I had the opportunity to try a great wheel at athe Common Ground Fair Fiber tent. It was a dream of mine to spin wool on a great wheel. What and amazing piece of craftsmanship this wheel is .
To use it it is like dancing with fiber. I only go to use it for like 15 minutes but it was an awesome experience!!

Had a great weekend with fiber friends at the 50 annual Common Ground Fair!
My friends Susan from JoElsa Farm and Fiber did a fiber workshop talk on two very different methods of processing raw wool! We had a great time and hopefully some fiber friends try processing raw will by themselves!

We decided to take a night off and head North to camp. In the morning I receive a text from a neighbor that the sheep where making lots of noice and that he heard coyotes in the evening! Yikes!
I then got ahead of two other neighbors to please check on the sheep in their summer pasture!
Then were fine.
When we got home we found out one sheep had somehow gotten out. As of coursed the pasture is greener on the other side of the fence! To the rescue neighbor Ken got the lost sheep in.
We have the best neighbors!
