🍎🐄 Apple season means the cows get a little extra spoiled around here! 🍂

Nothing gets their attention quite like teasing them with a fresh apple before handing over the tasty prize! 😂❤️🐮

Fall is officially in the air, the apples are ripe, and our spoiled farm girls are more than happy to help us celebrate apple season! 🍎🍁🐄

🐔✨ Golden Laced Wyandotte Fun Facts! ✨🐔

🌟 They’re living works of art! Their beautiful golden feathers outlined in black give them one of the most eye-catching patterns in the chicken world.

🥚 Great layers! Golden Laced Wyandottes can produce roughly 180–220 brown eggs per year, depending on the hen and conditions.

❄️ Cold-hardy ladies! Their small rose comb is less prone to frostbite than large single combs, making them well suited for colder climates.

👑 They’re an American breed! Wyandottes were developed in the United States in the late 1800s.

👀 That feather pattern is genetic! The gorgeous black edging around each golden feather is called lacing.

🌾 Fun homestead fact: They’re generally good foragers and enjoy scratching around looking for bugs, seeds, and tasty little treats.

Why fight the grocery store crowds when my favorite little market is right in my backyard? 😂❤️

A quick trip out to the garden for fresh veggies, a stop by the chicken coop for some farm-fresh eggs, and suddenly dinner is already halfway planned! 🥒🍅🥚

There’s something so satisfying about growing your own food and knowing exactly where it came from. It may not always be the easiest way to “shop,” but it sure is the most rewarding. 🥰🌻

🐰🌿 A Few Fun Rabbit Facts! 🌿🐰

Our fluffy little farm friend is more fascinating than she looks! 🥕💕

✨ Rabbits can’t vomit! Their digestive systems are designed to move food in one direction.

👂 Those big ears aren’t just adorable! They help rabbits hear predators and can even help regulate their body temperature.

👀 Rabbits have almost 360° vision! They can see nearly all the way around themselves to help spot danger.

🦷 Their teeth never stop growing! That’s why plenty of hay and things to safely chew on are so important.

💨 Rabbits can do “binkies!” When they’re happy and excited, they may jump, twist, and kick their feet in the air. Basically… the bunny version of a happy dance! 😂

👃 They have an incredible sense of smell and use their noses to explore the world around them.

🐇 And one of our favorite things? Every rabbit has their own personality. Some are cuddly, some are curious, some are little troublemakers… and some are ALL three! 😂❤️

From tiny seed potatoes to a box full of homegrown goodness—it never gets old. Every harvest is a reminder that a little patience, a lot of sunshine, and plenty of hard work can grow something amazing.

Now comes the fun part… deciding what to make first! 🥔🍽️
Mashed? Roasted? Fried? Potato salad? We need your suggestions!

🌱 Sweet, mild flavor with no lemon taste.
💛 Thin, tender skin—no peeling needed!

Just out here doing my very important farm duties… 🐓💁🏼‍♀️

I supervise while he tackles all the manly chores. He lifts, hauls, fixes, and builds… and I make sure the chickens are happy, collect the eggs, and provide quality control (and occasional moral support 😏).

Every homestead needs a hardworking farmer… and an chicken tender. ❤️🚜🌾
