We usually plant our garlic around the end October beginning of November. This year we planted half our 4,000 cloves this past weekend and will plant the other half in about a month. Just curious if there will be a difference. We will keep you posted!

Since we have been transitioning out of farming full time we have decided to keep the soil fertile and continue growing cover crops. This is two week old Sudan Grass. We will also be planting a lot of pollinator beds like this one next year. This is a Great mix from Johnnys Seeds!

Now that farming is a part time gig I had planned on turning this plot of 20 100’ raised beds into pasture but could not bring myself to do it. Instead these plots will get Sudan grass followed by winter rye and vetch.
