Want to talk about milk?

Pasture to Pitcher has THREE events this weekend!!

Friday evening, Farmer Thad, Gayle and I will be at Healing Strides for their Connect event that helps the local community understand their mission!

Saturday, Hannah will be at Haran Baptist Church in Roanoke set up for their Fall Festival! Big THANK YOU to Hannah for helping me be in two places at once. 🫶🏼

Also happening Saturday is Sweater Weather Saturdays at Melvin's Farm to Fork Store! I will be set up there along side Rustic Ridge Roastery and Mountain Heritage Homestead.

Come see us!

A quiet breakfast, an unattended glass of milk, and a cat who knows he’s not supposed to be on the table.

Hold your horses…. Did someone say raw milk?

Did you know we are a drop location for Pasture to Pitcher A2 milk? They are also great supporters of our work here at Healing Strides, along with Melvin's Farm to Fork Store!

Thank you both for your generous support! Contact them for all your milk needs, they have locations all over!

p.s. this photo was not 😜 AI generated. We take our equines bone health very seriously and give them only the best milk! 😜
JK, no horses were given milk in the making of this AI photo! 🥛🐮

This Saturday + every Saturday in October, I’ll be at our Farmstore with several other local vendors!

Come see us at Melvin's Farm to Fork Store, shop local, and spend a Saturday on the farm.

We’ll be here rain or shine. 🤍

Hello, October 💛

The cows are loving these cooler days just as much as we are.

Your milk starts long before the bottle.

Some people hate crowds, I don’t mind this kind 🤍

Not everything is all cows and milk. Sometimes it’s land and forest. 🌲

Today, we went to the Virginia Forest Landowner Education Program to learn about timber cruising. We learned techniques used by foresters to collect data that can be used to make decisions about forest management.

While my Dad has spent lots of time educating me on soil health, grass and everything that comes with raising cattle, there’s a whole lot more to taking care of land than just what happens in the pasture.

Continuing education in every aspect of the land is an important part of being a good steward of it!

Another jar pickup! 🫙

About every other month, I make a trip to Angle Hardware to pick up a pallet of jars.

And somehow, at 23 years old, I have bought roughly 3,100 glass milk jars!

Definitely not something I ever pictured for myself, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Just one of those behind-the-scenes things that makes me stop and realize how much this has grown. 🤍
